here we are again, now: circuition
of body/feel, mind/see,
virility, lush, in damage;
kinesthesia in the drift, the verb
that lifts round, knotting
what hurts and what
pleases. porn, velvet, chipped teeth. stinging
nettles. scissors. carpet burnt
pennies on spine. hiss of salt to cut.
Alisha Dukelow’s poems can be found, for example, in baldhip magazine and PRISM international. She lives in Montreal, where she is pursuing an MA in English literature and creative writing at Concordia University.
