Sean Braune is a PhD student at York University and holds a Masters from the University of Toronto. His poetry has appeared in ditch, Poetry is Dead and is forthcoming in Rampike. He wrote the play Leer, which was performed at Ryerson University in April 2010, and directed the short film An Encounter (2005), which won the award for excellence in cinematography at the Toronto Youth Shorts Film Festival ’09. He has been published in Studies in Canadian Literature, Journal of Modern Literature, and Canadian Literature. He recently gave a guest lecture at Yale University on the topic of visual poetry and constrained writing.
