Issue 37: Spring 2017 is now live!

Dear Friends, Writers, Associates—

We are pleased to announce the launch of Issue 37: Spring 2017 of The Puritan Magazine! Replete with a veritable cornucopia of new fiction, poetry, essays, reviews, and interviews from some of the best emerging and established writers in Canada and beyond, we hope it makes for excellent reading in the park or patio of your choice.

This season’s fiction comes from Jane Awde Goodwin, Kylie Baker, Matthew J. Trafford, and Jeremy Colangelo.

Our poetry section includes work by Maureen Hynes, Jay Ritchie, Aja Moore, Shazia Hafiz Ramji, Meghan Bell, Alison Braid, David Ly, Dominique Béchard, Marta Balcewicz, Sam Collier, Sarah Stickney, Sue Chenette, and Tahlia Chloe.

We also have a wide-ranging set of essays on everything from Alice Munro to grieving narratives and the British band Duran Duran by Sue Sorensen, Margeaux Feldman, and Rob Benvie.

In the interviews section, Cal Freeman talks to Mariela Gifford, Kailey Havelock and Zoe Whittall discuss The Best Kind of People, and Laura Clarke and Kate Sutherland engage in a stimulating back and forth about animals and poetry.
