Born stateside in Cincinnati, Ohio, Anthony Ramstetter, Jr. began studying singing at the age of eight, music history at the age of 15 and poetry at the age of 21. He is currently a graduate student in the Master of Fine Arts program in Creative Writing at Louisiana State University and he has earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Creative Writing from Miami University of Ohio where he was Editor-in-Chief of Oxford Magazine, Miami’s literary publication, from 2012 to 2013. Anthony is continuing “Conscience Manifesto,” an ongoing 50,000-word epic poem that he aspires to never finish. A recipient of the Betty Jane Abrahams Memorial Poetry Prize from the Academy of American Poets, Anthony’s writing has appeared or is forthcoming in Drupe Fruits, HTMLGIANT, the Poetry Foundation, and Pork College.
