Wanda O’Connor recently returned from a Banff writing residency, making friends with magpies and exploring fields of ornithology on the page. “how to enter a dress” is the first part of a series of poems about her Maliseet connection. Recent work was featured at the 2013 Frye Festival, Spoken Word Paris, and the Factory Reading Series. Her latest publication, damascene road passaggio, selections (above/ground press, 2013) is an excursus through Kafkaesque lettering, mysticism, and myth, with a little sturm und drang for good measure.
