A notion bolted out the starting gate
like a startled colt.

•

The Milky Way is teeming with billions
of manatee idols.

•

pre-Beatles
Norwegian folk song

•

If it’s still winter, why
do the days grow longer?

•

And Adam gave taboo names
to every beast in the field.

•

in the jargon of crickets,
cricket

•

from apples

to oranges

and back again

•

it out

as in
dorks duke

•

mirror mirror doesn’t show “me”

(embryonic gesture of salve and wink)

“as I am”

•

retracing in winter sky
clusters of memories in constellations
of b-movie motorcycles
and goldfish anuses

•

Lateral thoughts
quietly spin on either
side of a cusp pretending not
to notice but nonetheless
keen to claim their wit.

•

plane’s buzz, christened in one
over-determined moment

•

Thou comest unto
me and him, tinking
many informations.

•

Close your eyes and click
your heels to a time when no one
will get the reference.

Matter stills and
is nothing in
the whelk’s
